Wise Grandmother's Rolling Dholak Case Study

A little lamb was going to visit his grandmother. In the forest, a hungry wolf stopped him to eat him. The lamb requested, 'Let me go to my grandmother, I will grow fat and then you can eat me.' On returning, grandmother hid the lamb inside a wooden dholak and rolled it down the grassy hill.

Analytical Task: Why did the dholak roll smoothly down the hill instead of sliding? Did the wolf catch the lamb?
Evaluation & Model Answer:
1. The dholak has a curved cylindrical surface, which rolls easily down a slope.
2. The dholak rolled very fast past the waiting wolf, and the lamb reached home safely without getting caught.
Rubric: 1.5 M for curved surface rolls + 1.5 M for lamb reaches home safely
